* Currently on trial*

Sam is a young Siberian husky/white Swiss shepherd cross (17 Months) Sam loves people and kids and happy to meet and say hello to everyone, Sam is currently in foster with other Huskies and has visited the beach and dog parks.  He is good with all other dogs and he has learnt to play really well with his foster brothers and sisters and has his foster family laughing with their antics.

Sam has learnt to sit and wait for his dinner and currently learning to sit when finished as he still does like to explore the other bowls but again there are no signs of any aggression. He is fantastic with the treats and will sit and wait, however will dig and hide his bone or longer lasting treats. Sam enjoys his walks and he good on lead with minimal pulling. Sam can get excited/ vocal when seeing other dogs while walking on lead at the beach but we have seen a huge improvement.

 Sam has captured our hearts, he is always alongside you working in the garden (He just may pinch your gloves/gardening tools1) and will greet you tail wagging and a big smile when you get home from being out. Sam would love to be a part of a family and be welcomed inside as he loves to watch TV with his human friends and be with them.

Sam has a few health issues that you need to be aware of; however, they do not appear to affect his happy demeanour. Sam does have elbow dysplasia or east/west paws so he does stumble on walks occasionally especially if he is looking backwards and when he does zoomies around the dog park. He knows his limitations and will rest when needed.

We do not know why but he does not like to travel in a car or even get in the car and the foster carers are still working really hard to make car trips as exciting as possible. Sam is quite anxious about car travel and Sam’s foster carers are currently using a ramp to get Sam into the car and making progress. He has had a few accidents in the car, but appears to be more settled if someone is sitting in the back with him.

 Sam has a cheeky disposition, always happy, a real trooper with a wonderful heart. He has so much love to give and he so deserves it.

 Better suited to a home with older children and/or with another dog, but definitely no cats, birds or bunny rabbits.
